Café Tabou has earned the reputation for being one of the most famous French restaurants throughout Scotland. Our cuisine is rustic French at its best, much appreciated by our regular local customers as well as numerous visitors from outside the city. Ever since its beginning, the restaurant has been recognised for the excellent taste of the food, which is the result of combining two crucial ingredients: the chefs' culinary abilities and finest quality ingredients.

The perfectly balanced menu offers variety to satisfy different tastes and preferences, featuring vegetarian choices as well. Cafe Tabou boasts the most renowned classics in French Cuisine served all year round. Our menu is undeniably unique with oysters, langoustines, grilled snails, frog's legs, grilled mussels  and specially selected salads. Also well-known and widely enjoyed are our fish specialities (Le Poisson du Jour) along with our meat specialities (Le Plat du Jour). Our evening menu (from A'la Carte) can certainly compete with those found in finest restaurants of Paris or perhaps even all of France.
